Mein Name ist Kevin Dust. Ich bin ein amerikanischer Ureinwohner aus der Apsaalooke Nation, Crow Tribe, aus Montana. Ich bin Film- und Theater Schauspieler sowie Tänzer und Sänger der amerikanischen Ureinwohner. Ich bin viel durch Europa gereist, um meine Kultur und Traditionen zu teilen. Ich habe noch viel zu teilen und zu lernen. Und ich hoffe, mehr Zeit mit eurem Volk und eurem Land zu verbringen. A’ho.

Kevin hat über 20 Jahre die Rolle des Sitting Bull in Buffalo Bills Wild West Show im Disneyland Paris gespielt. Er wird nicht nur das diesjährige Native American Weekend begleiten, sondern die gesamte Hauptsaison die Shows von Kendall Old Elk unterstützen und die Besucher der Westernstadt in die fantastische Welt der nordamerikanischen Ureinwohner entführen.

I have traveled extensively throughout Europe sharing my culture and traditions. I still have much to share as well as learn. I hope to spend more times with your people and country. A’ho.

Ich habe die Apsaalooke-Kultur in den letzten Jahren in ganz Europa praktiziert und geteilt und bin in die Fußstapfen meines Vaters getreten. Auch in der Lehre lerne ich viel. Neben Tanzen und Singen mache ich auch Beatbox. Ich genieße es wirklich zu unterhalten und zu unterrichten

I have been Peforming and Sharing the Apsaalooke Culture for the past few years throughout Europe, following in my fathers footsteps. In teaching, I am also learning a lot. In addition to Dancing and Singing, I also do Beatbox. I really enjoy entertaining and teaching.

Jasmine ist die Tochter von Kendall und Maria Old Elk und ein eingeschriebenes Mitglied der Apsaalooke Nation, Crow Tribe of Indians, aus Montana, USA.

Sie ist derzeit 21 Jahre alt und steht bereits seit jungen Jahren in ganz Europa auf der Bühne. Obwohl sie in Europa aufgewachsen ist, hat sie ihre Stammesbräuche und -traditionen von ihren Eltern sowie die Kultur der amerikanischen Ureinwohner von vielen Freunden gelernt, die sie im Laufe der Jahre besucht haben. Sie tanzt Traditional, Jingle Dress und Fancy Shawl Dance (Traditionellen, Schellenkleid- und ausgefallenen Schal-Tanz).

Derzeit studiert und arbeitet sie im zahnmedizinischen Bereich, eine Leidenschaft, die sie von ihrer Mutter übernommen hat. Da sie in ganz Europa unterwegs und aufgewachsen ist, spricht sie viele Sprachen fließend, darunter Spanisch, Französisch, Deutsch und Englisch. Dadurch kann sie sich leichter verständigen, was sich in ihrem sehr freundlichen und offenen Wesen zeig

Jasmine is the daughter of Kendall and Maria Old Elk. An enrolled member of the Apsaalooke Nation, Crow Tribe of Indians, of Montana, USA.

Currently 21 years old, she has been performing on stage from a very young age throughout Europe. Although growing up in Europe, she has learned her tribal customs and traditions from her parents, as well as Native American Culture from many friends that have visited her throughout the years. She dances Traditional, Jingle and Fancy Shawl.

She is currently studying and working in the Dental Field, a passion she has picked up from her mother. Because of traveling, and growing up throughout Europe, she speaks many languages fluently, including Spanish, French, German as well as English. Because of this she can communicate more easily, which is evident in her very friendly impression.

Maria wurde in Spanien geboren. Sie ist mit Kendall Old Elk verheiratet und zusammen haben sie eine 18-jährige Tochter.

Die Kultur der amerikanischen Ureinwohner hat sie schon immer fasziniert. Sie ist mit ihrer Familie professionell in ganz Europa aufgetreten, um die Kultur der amerikanischen Ureinwohner zu teilen. Maria wurde von der Old Elk Familie in die Apsaalooke Nation aufgenommen und von bekannten Apsaalooke Ältesten in den Tanzkreis eingeweiht. Sie hat auch spezielle Genehmigungen für bestimmte Tanzstile erhalten, die sie aufführt. Sie hat immer darauf bestanden, dass sie keine amerikanische Ureinwohnerin ist, sondern die Kultur so repräsentiert, wie sie ihr gezeigt wurde.

Zu ihren Tanzstilen gehören Traditional, Jingle und Fancy Shawl Dance (Traditioneller, Schellenkleid- und ausgefallener Schal-Tanz). So wie es ihr beigebracht wurde, würde sie niemals etwas aufführen, wozu sie keine Erlaubnis hat und sie würde niemals behaupten, etwas zu sein, was sie nicht ist. Sie fühlt sich sehr geehrt, Teil des Teams zu sein.

Maria was born in Spain. She is married to Kendall Old Elk, and together they have an 18 year old daughter.

She has always been fascinated by Native American Culture. She has been performing professionally throughout Europe with her family, sharing the Native American Culture. She has been adopted into the Apsaalooke Nation by the Old Elk Family, and initiated into the Dance Circle by well-known Apsaalooke Elders. She has also been given specific permissions for certain styles of dances that she performs. She has always been adamant in the fact that she is not Native American, but represents the culture as she has been shown.

Her styles of dance include Traditional, Jingle and Fancy Shawl. The way she has been taught, she would never perform anything she did not have permission to do, and she would never claim to be something she is not. She is very honored to be a part of the team.

Kendall Old Elk ist Gastgeber des Native American Weekends und eingeschriebenes Mitglied der Apsaalooke Nation, Crow Tribe of Indians, aus Montana, USA. Er präsentiert, unterrichtet und führt derzeit nicht nur seine Kultur durch Shows und Veranstaltungen vor, sondern ist auch seit einigen Jahren fester Bestandteil der EL DORADO Crew und präsentiert und tritt in verschiedenen Shows der Westernstadt auf.

Kendall hat die meiste Zeit seines Lebens sowohl traditionell als auch wettbewerbsorientiert (in der ganzen Powwow-Welt) getanzt und gesungen. Er tritt seit über 30 Jahren professionell auf, davon die letzten 23 Jahre in ganz Europa. Er teilt die indianische Kultur und insbesondere die Apsaalooke-Kultur in vielerlei Hinsicht: durch Gesangs- und Tanzdarbietungen sowie Konferenzen und Demonstrationen kultureller Künste.

Er hatte die Gelegenheit, nicht nur durch die USA und Europa zu reisen, sondern auch nach Israel und Moldawien (als Teil der ersten Gruppe von Indianern, die dies überhaupt taten). Er ist in einer sehr traditionellen Familie aufgewachsen und hatte das Glück, die Methoden seines Stammes zu erlernen. Aufgrund des Powwow-Lebensstils hatte er auch die Gelegenheit, ausgiebig zu reisen und viele verschiedene Bräuche und Traditionen von anderen Stämmen kennenzulernen. Mit seiner natürlichen Neugier war er in der Lage, viele verschiedene Stile durch Studien an der Universität zu lernen, wobei er sich am meisten für Archäologie Studien der Native Americans interessierte. Kendall ist außerdem ein Veteran der US Armee (Zweiter Golfkrieg, Operation Desert Storm 1986-1991). Aufgrund all dieser unterschiedlichen Lebenserfahrungen fühlt er sich sehr geehrt, seine Kultur zu teilen, nicht nur durch Tanz- und Gesangsdarbietungen, sondern auch durch Unterhaltung sowie Aufklärung und Korrektur von Stereotypen (Vorurteilen).

Kendall Old Elk, host of the Native American Weekend, is an enrolled member of the Apsaalooke Nation, Crow Tribe of Indians, from Montana USA. Kendall currently presents, educates and performs not only his culture through shows and events but also acts and presents various shows in EL DORADO Templin.

He has been dancing and singing traditionally as well as competitively (throughout the Powwow World) for most of his life. He has performed professionally for over 30 years, with the last 23 years throughout Europe. He shares the Native American culture, and in specific the Apsaalooke culture, in many ways. Through singing and dance performances, as well as conferences, and Cultural Arts demonstrations.

He has had the opportunity to travel, not only throughout the USA and Europe, but Israel and Moldova (being part of the first group of Native Americans to do so) as well. He has grown up in a very traditional family, being lucky enough to learn the ways of his tribe. He also has had the opportunity to travel extensively, due to the Powwow lifestyle, having the opportunity to meet and learn many different customs and traditions from other tribes as well. With a natural curiosity, he was able to learn many different styles through studies in University, being most interested in Archeology, Native American Studies. He is a veteran of the US Army (Operation Desert Storm 1986-1991). Because of all of these different life experiences, he is very honored to share his culture, not only through dance and singing performances, but through entertaining as well as educating and correcting stereotypes.
